Issue details:The coastal region of Bolivia was lost to Chili at the end of the War of the Pacific (1879-83), involving Chile, Bolivia, and Peru. It resulted in Chilean annexation of valuable disputed Bolivian territory on the Pacific coast, the Litoral Department.
